For a while, Sour Alley was number 1 on the Reverbnation rankings for Salem Indie Rock Bands with the highest national ranking of 1200 or so. 

For the past two months we have focused on finishing recording our second album “Stray Puppets.”  Portlandia Recording and Mix Engineer Matt Greco has been kind enough to work with us and we do indeed look forward to his art—the engineer/producer has as much influence over the sounds as the sound itself.  The finished work should be ready by the first of January. 

This compilation is much like our last in that you will be hard pressed to clearly identify a genre.  It would be easier to say what we are not.  We are not rap or hip hop, and we are not screamo, techno or Eurodance.  We are though very interested in the connection of tune and lyrics.  Words are nice, but it is the lyrical composite of word texture to sound texture that makes a song slip into the mind. 
 
We do indeed hope that at least one of our tunes does slip into your mind and your body responds favorably.
