Please Support Salem’s Likeable Band. Our debut album Out of the Alley is available on iTunes and soon on CD.
Now that we have completed the album and are waiting for the cover to be printed, our focus is on developing our skill at performance. Chris and Lori have experience with playing on stage but the rest of us are novices and need some trials. The next few weeks Chris will be setting us up in a few placed in Salem while we build up our play list. This is when the fun starts!
Without discussing dynamics (whenever there are more than on person in the room, there are dynamics), we have been creating. It’s hard to tell from the inside if a creative work is “good.” Heck, what does that mean “good?” For us, good means one of us had an idea and someone else added to it and there is a sense of connectivity. I look at things backwards, “It doesn’t sound bad.”
The magic of two people connecting is difficult to describe in words. But when it happens, there is a sense of pleasure unlike any other human experiences. One either wants to raise both arms up in victory or simply grin at one another in silent satisfaction. Either way, it’s great to be a human!
